BACKGROUND

Paulina Dosal-Terminel was born in Mexico City and has resided in Texas for the past 20 years.

After graduating with a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin she began a career in museum education which influenced her interest in a community engaged, multimedia practice.

In 2017, she was awarded the Carolina Alcocer Endowment for Scholarship and Creativity in the Arts by the LILLAS Benson School for Latin American Studies, nominated by her professor Margo Sawyer.

She has worked in arts administration at the Indigenous Cultures Institute in San Marcos, at the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin and The Dallas Museum of Art respectively. In those roles, she has completed large mural works and executed interpretive installations from conception to completion as part of exhibits. This led to opening a full service art production and consulting studio, Omega Art Projects, which curates custom artworks that transform public and private spaces together with their partner coatings firm.

She currently lives in Dallas as she completes her dual-degree graduate studies at Southern Methodist University at Meadows School of the Arts and Cox School of Business.
